Six standards for setting up gas stations

Published on:Sep 05 , 2022

(1) The number of gas stations per 100 kilometers on highways should not exceed 2 pairs in principle;

(2) The number of gas stations per 100 kilometers on national and provincial roads shall not exceed 6 pairs in principle;

(3) The total number of gas stations on county and township roads should not exceed 8 pairs per 100 kilometers;

(4) In principle, at least one gas station should be planned in the location of the township government. For townships with an annual fuel consumption of over 1000 tons or a vehicle ownership of over 200 vehicles, if there is currently no gas station, one gas station can be set up in the township area;

(5) The minimum distance between vehicles at all gas stations (points) is generally not less than 1.8 kilometers. Vehicles are prohibited from crossing the central median strip on opposite sides of the road, and the distance between vehicles with large traffic flow and belonging to different roads can be relaxed;

(6) Gas stations are classified into Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, and Level 1 gas stations should not be built within urban built-up areas.
