Oil tank trucks are different from other specialized vehicles in that they have a relatively high level of danger, so they require strict safety configurations. Many oil tank trucks that experience explosions have inadequate safety configurations. What configurations must a qualified oil tank truck have? What role can these configurations play?
1. The entire vehicle must be equipped with ABS, and the front axle must have disc brakes. In terms of safety, the use of ABS can prevent tire lock up during vehicle braking, while the front axle equipped with disc brakes can effectively ensure braking capacity, which is more sensitive than drum brakes and greatly improves driving safety.
2. The exhaust pipe of oil tank trucks must be in front, and the engine exhaust pipe of dangerous goods transport vehicles and explosive equipment transport vehicles must be in front, and an exhaust spark fire extinguisher must be installed at the end of the exhaust pipe to cool the vehicle exhaust gas and avoid extinguishing the sparks carried in the exhaust gas.
3. Limit the driving speed of oil tankers. If the driving speed of dangerous goods transport vehicles is too high, the danger factor will greatly increase. The speed of dangerous goods transport vehicles is generally controlled within 80 kilometers per hour.
4. Oil tank trucks must be equipped with emergency shut-off devices. Emergency shut-off devices are safety devices installed at the oil interface of oil tank trucks. When the pipeline ruptures or other reasons cause medium leakage, the flow rate of the medium in the pipeline increases, and the valve will immediately close on its own to perform emergency leak prevention, prevent a large amount of medium leakage, and avoid or reduce the occurrence of accidents.
5. Oil tankers must be equipped with conspicuous warning signs, and the tank body of the tanker must be painted with safety notices, hazard lights, and other markings for other personnel to identify.
6. Oil tank trucks must be equipped with static electricity belts. The static conductive rubber towing belt is installed on the bottom of the vehicle, which can guide static electricity into the ground, keeping the tank body at zero potential and preventing the generation of static sparks.
7. Oil tank trucks must also be equipped with driving recorders, ion sensitive smoke detectors, conductive rubber plates, and so on.
The safety configuration of the oil tanker must be complete, and it is necessary to be careful when using it, only in this way can the driving safety of the vehicle be guaranteed.
