The Construction Standard for Dangerous Goods Transport Vehicle Parking Lots in Chemical Industry Parks (T/CPCIF 0050-2020) is an important industry standard aimed at regulating the planning, design, construction, and operation management of dangerous goods transport vehicle parking lots in chemical industry parks. This standard is issued by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and will be implemented from July 7, 2020. The following are the main contents of the standard.
Parking area standard: The parking area is determined based on the number of dedicated vehicles. Special vehicles for transporting highly toxic chemicals, explosives, and tank type vehicles, with a quantity of 20 or less, shall have a parking area of not less than 1.5 times the vehicle's frontal projection area; For vehicles with a quantity of 20 or more, for the excess, the parking area of each vehicle shall not be less than the projected area of the vehicle. Parking Lot Site Selection Standards: The location of a dangerous goods vehicle parking lot should avoid earthquake active faults and areas prone to floods and geological disasters, and maintain a certain distance from residential areas, commercial centers, parks, and other densely populated places. At the same time, consideration should be given to the distance from public facilities such as schools, hospitals, cinemas, and sports venues, as well as the distance from drinking water sources, water plants, and water conservation areas.
Other relevant regulations: The construction of parking lots should comply with the requirements of national planning and construction, and be approved and accepted by relevant departments. The parking lot should be equipped with corresponding fire-fighting, environmental protection and other facilities, and ensure its normal operation. Parking lot management personnel should possess corresponding professional knowledge and skills, and receive regular training and drills.
In addition, the standard also specifies specific requirements for the facilities and equipment, management and operation of parking lots to ensure the safe parking and management of dangerous goods transport vehicles.
