On the morning of September 3, 2022, the "World Frontier Science and Technology Conference" co hosted by the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNESCO) was grandly held at the Beijing National Convention Center.
As an important part of the 2022 China International Trade in Services Fair (CIFIT), the World Frontier Science and Technology Conference, with the theme of "science and technology create a better future", is committed to providing a platform for scientists in the frontier science and technology fields of all countries to exchange, interact and share results, opening a window for entrepreneurs and people around the world to understand the world's cutting-edge science and technology developments and grasp the latest scientific and technological information, and also providing solutions for countries deeply affected by the COVID-19 epidemic and climate change, so that cutting-edge science and technology can enable the development and progress of the world economy and human civilization, help achieve the UN 2030 sustainable development goals, and build a community of shared future for mankind.
This conference consists of an opening ceremony and a World Frontier Technology Forum, which has received strong support from multiple countries, regions, international organizations, social groups, universities, research institutions, as well as the business and financial sectors around the world.

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Mr. Xu Jun, Vice President of the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology and a professor at Tsinghua University. Mr. Xu Jun opened with the words "It's a pleasure to have friends from afar", expressing the spirit of openness, inclusiveness, win-win cooperation, and willingness to share of the World Frontier Technology Conference and its organizers - the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. He also conveyed China's willingness to treat countries around the world with sincerity, neighborly friendship, and overcome difficulties together, conveying a touch of warmth in a world deeply mired in crises.
The opening ceremony was first addressed by Mr. Ma Peihua.
In his speech, Mr. Ma Peihua believed that in the context of the century long changes and the interweaving of the pandemic, as well as the severe challenges faced by the world economic recovery, technological innovation and development are effective ways and methods for countries to jointly explore and solve major global problems. Therefore, it is necessary to eliminate radical protectionism, isolationism, xenophobia, and populism in the field of science and technology. Technology cannot be used as a means to encircle and suppress other countries, but to strengthen international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, jointly respond to the challenges of the times, and promote the noble cause of human peace and development.

Academician Shen Baogen, who has been engaged in the research of magnetic physics and magnetic materials for a long time, gave a special report entitled "Rare Earth: Strategic Resources, Permanent Magnetic Materials, Key Applications", explaining the importance of rare earth and the development of rare earth related technologies, and unraveling the mysteries of rare earth for the participants.
Academician Liu Zhongfan, a graphene expert, gave a keynote speech titled "Graphene Industry: How Far in the Future, Where is the Way Forward" to the audience, vividly introducing the current development status and future trends of the domestic and international graphene industry, as well as the key work and remarkable achievements of the Beijing Graphene Research Institute in the field of graphene. Academician Hou Li'an made a special report entitled Current Situation and Development Trend of disinfection and sterilization Technology for Pathogenic Microorganisms in the Air, systematically introducing the current situation and future development trend of disinfection and sterilization technology for pathogenic microorganisms in the air. Academician Hou Li'an led a team to develop the five in one full process air purification technology of "fresh air system indoor purification indoor disinfection environmentally friendly functional materials exhaust system", which has been applied in Wuhan, Shiyan, Jiangsu and other places in Hubei Province, providing strong technological support for the fight against the epidemic.
After careful preparation and planning by the organizing committee of the conference, the conference has achieved fruitful results. Excellent investment management companies and fund management companies such as China Venture Capital Group, China Enterprise United Innovation Technology Development Co., Ltd., and China Finance Fund Management Co., Ltd. have jointly initiated the "Technology Industry Innovation Mother Fund" on the platform of this conference, injecting more fresh water into the development of cutting-edge technology industries and helping to achieve the goal of "technology industrialization and industrial technology".
