On July 11, 2023, the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology (CSTD) held its fifth and third executive council meeting at its new office location.
This meeting will be held both online and offline. The leaders attending the offline meeting include our president Duan Yiyi, vice president Xu Jun, vice president Academician Shen Baogen, vice president and secretary-general Zhang Shaochun, executive vice president Wang Yaohua, executive directors in Beijing, and some branch heads.
The meeting was chaired by Zhang Shaochun, Vice President and Secretary General of the Science Promotion Association.
The meeting officially began at 9:30 am. Firstly, Duan Yiyi, the President of the Science and Technology Promotion Association, presented the "Work Report of the Science and Technology Promotion Association for the First Half of 2023". The report summarized the work done by the Science and Technology Promotion Association in the first half of 2023, including group standard work construction, application for social awards, service and development of branch offices, improvement of its own service capabilities, and audit work; The report focuses on the work achievements and progress made by various branches of my association in the past six months; And the situation of rural revitalization led by the Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology, with the participation of various branch institutions, supporting aid to Tibet and Xinjiang; The investigation and visit to Jordan and the United Arab Emirates jointly organized by the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology and the China Arab Youth Entrepreneurship Park Management Committee, as well as the cooperation results achieved; Report on the situation of the 17th Certificate, Card, and Ticket Exhibition and High end Forum (SDS) hosted by the Science Promotion Association and the Certificate, Card, and Ticket Professional Committee from May 17th to 18th this year; The first Medicine Food Same Source Science and Technology Innovation Conference hosted by the Health Science and Technology Working Committee and the Private Economy Innovation Branch; Work with the Human Settlements Think Tank and the Traditional Culture Construction Committee; I also introduced the "2023 Forbidden City International Pharmacist Conference" hosted by our association and organized by the Medical Service Industry Branch in Xiong'an, as well as some of the work carried out by other branches in the first half of the year.
The report also introduced the financial situation of the Science and Technology Promotion Association in the first half of the year and elaborated on its work plan for the second half of the year.
According to the meeting agenda, Vice President Zhang Shaochun (Secretary General) introduced the situation of six newly added branches, and the attending representatives voted according to the requirements of the articles of association.
Subsequently, some branch heads made work exchange reports, mainly including Director Xing Jiguo, Director Yan Bohua, Director Lin Zhidong, and Director Zheng Hualin of the Standardization Committee, as well as comrades such as Chen Fan from Liangyu Fund Company who gave speeches and exchanged ideas; President Duan Yiyi summarized and provided comments.
