In the afternoon of July 10 local time, during the series of meetings of the 65th General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Shen Changyu, Director of the China National Intellectual Property Administration of China, and Suen Stapp Sorensen, Director of the Danish Patent and Trademark Office held bilateral talks in Geneva, Switzerland, where they had in-depth exchanges on the latest developments in intellectual property work and intellectual property issues of common concern between the two countries.
Shen Changyu said that the China National Intellectual Property Administration of China and the Danish Patent and Trademark Office have maintained good interaction in recent years, and the cooperation between the two sides has been deepening. The intellectual property exchange meeting jointly held by the two bureaus has been unanimously welcomed by the industrial circles of the two countries. In the past year, China has made significant progress in promoting the transformation and application of intellectual property rights, improving relevant laws and regulations, and enhancing the quality and efficiency of review work. The environment for protecting intellectual property rights continues to improve. I hope the two bureaus can continue to strengthen exchanges, promote more practical cooperation projects, and better serve users from both countries.
Sorensen said that Denmark attaches great importance to the bilateral cooperation with the China National Intellectual Property Administration of China. The two sides have carried out a series of fruitful exchanges and cooperation, and look forward to further expanding cooperation areas in the future, helping Danish industry to have a deep understanding of China's intellectual property legal system, actively responding to the needs of enterprises in both countries, and better promoting innovation and economic and social development in both countries.
